I’m a net new user – how do I register for an RxGov account?
You may register for a new RxGov account here: https://{specific-name}.rxgov.com/. Your email address is your username.
Will there be any changes or impact to existing EHR or pharmacy software integrations?
There are no anticipated changes or impacts to the existing EHR integrations
Are any changes expected to ASAP file format submission?
No, we will continue to use ASAP version 4.2 just like before. No changes are needed or expected to the ASAP files.
For Delegates: is it normal for them to receive “Delegate does not have a valid relationship with Delegator. If the relationship was just approved, please log out and log back in to activate the relationship.” Upon login?
Because we are loading delegate accounts, they can log in but they can't do anything without a delegator establishing their relationship. Since we didn't port them over (relationships), 100% of delegates will see this message when they first log in. Once their delegator has an account and goes in and makes them a delegate, then they won't see that message anymore.
Why did I receive SFTP credentials?
You received this information because your pharmacy had an sFTP User account for uploading dispense files to CSAPP, the retiring WV PDMP system. The sFTP credentials you received are for the new WV PDMP system, RxGov, which is taking the place of CSAPP. The CSAPP file server and system is scheduled to be turned off on February 16. I have attached one of our new RxGov Submitter guides for you.
I need to register a new Submitter account to take over an existing SFTP account since the listed SFTP contact who was sent the SFTP credentials is no longer with the organization, but still need to retain submission file history.
User to create Submitter account with temporary submitter name (since the “true” submitter name is already claimed and must be unique in the database)
A Submitter account is connected to their SFTP account via the Submitter Name (UI registration field) = Dispenser affiliated name (UI User Management field) = Uploader Name (folder name in Azure). These 3 values MUST MATCH and must be UNIQUE in the system. I.e., there can and should not be more than one Submitter account with the same Dispenser affiliated name.
The SFTP username is independent of the above process, but is configured on the backend and is tied to the Uploader Name so that submissions route to the proper folder. The SFTP username is often the same value as the Dispenser affiliated name, but not always – and that is OK as long as the Dispenser affiliated name is equal to the Uploader Name in Azure.
I need a Submitter account associated with an existing SFTP account so that I can also submit files via SFTP.
Advise user to use the Manage Pharmacies feature to view submission errors and make corrections. AND/OR
Tell user to obtain the SFTP credentials from the person it was sent to if they need to upload ASAP files on their own
I am a Residency Coordinator/Program Manager – how should I use RxGov? What can I do and not do in the new system?
Residency Coordinators/Program Managers are assigned as Delegates within RxGov and won’t have their own “sub-delegates”. They'll need to be assigned to their delegator (they can either search for their delegator or their delegator can add them in the portal to be associated with their account). Delegates may run patient queries on behalf of a prescriber to view dispense results, as well as submit tickets if they notice any issues with patients. I've attached the Prescriber User Guide for your reference, page 42 provides more information for Delegates.
